Would I need new shocks aswell as springs? Someone I was talking to was saying how you wouldnt need new shocks unless you lower it past 60mm. I wasnt too sure..

If your lowering 40mm= standard shocks are fine

If lowering 60mm= New front shortened shocks needed but can still use standard shocks but expect a real harsh ride

standard shocks are not fine at all when lowering they are not designed to be used with lower springs,
it will be very boatey and the springs will be lose and move around on the cup.

Anything more than -20mm on standard shocks I would say you will need uprated shocks to match.
