hi i was just woundering i have a c20xe in atm but im looking at getting it let'd up! wot parts would i need to convert it as cheaply as pos to my c20xe engine! are the calibra turbo engines the same size just different compression ratio?
im not really looking for a full on power house atm just a realiable conversion until the need for more arises lol!
if anyone could make a list with wot the parts have come out of with a rough price that would be great cheers tommy

need let pistons
cams or atleast exhaust cam
top hat plus the sensors like hot start valve, tank vent valve air temp in top hat.
throttle body is different as has vac take off for map sensor and the larger breather from xe rocher cover goes back to turbo
also the throttle position sensor is different to some xe ones so would need that.
you'd need a turbo
a down pipe
oil feed pipe from c20let
oil return drill into the block
ecu and loom
injectors
fuel pressure reg is a 3bar on the c20let
down pipe
afm
amal valve (std ecu boost control thing)

plus probably a fair bit more. be cheaper to buy an let, and a lot less hassle. sell the xe to pay for some of the cash towards the let. ideally id prefer one with a 6speed anyway which is another few hundred quid.

you could buy a whole c20let for a grand though. sell the xe for 250 ish then its cost you 750 instead of using the original block and blowing 1k on it to make it a turbo bottom end.
