My handbrake light stopped working today, so when i put the handbrake on the light doesn't come on, does anyone know what could of caused this, will it just be the bulb in the dash or a fuse ?

could be both of them, or even the connection on the lever

Doubt it would be a fuse for just the handbrake light? Is there anything else not working? My guess is just a bulb.

ignition on, don't start engine
lift bonnet
take the brake fluid cap off and see if the light lights up then.
If it still doesn't light up, replace the bulb in the dials. If it does light up, check the switch on the handbrake & also just trace the wire back make sure there are no breaks.
