somehow i blew a fuse for the indicators and i was away from home and had to get home, so i fitted a 25, instead of the 20 that was in there, now they worked all the way home, but the next morning they didnt work and the fuse hasnt gone.

Could also be the bulbs, but the worst that it could be is the stalk like Daz said. You could take the bulbs out and see if the filament is broken, that's all that would happen if it went over 20A.

So your hazards work but don't flash the warning light on your dash? Probably blew the fuse in the dash, Try changing it.
You should have just drove it like a BMW until you could fit the correct fuse

Sorry I didn't mean fuse, I meant the dash bulb. It's been a long day
As you upped the rating of the fuse the dash bulb was then likely to be the weakest part of the circuit hence it blowing. Do you know why the fuse blew in the first place?
