LHD -> Left Hand Drive, does this mean sitting on the right side of the car while driving or driving on the right side of the road??

I would have said sitting in the car on the left, hence driving on the right hand side of the road?

can mean both, depend whats contaxt it is used, either describing a car or a country!

uk cars are right hand drive

it refers to the side of the car the steering wheel is on

We drive on the right side of the road and the steeringwheel is on the left side of the car, ie LHD according to Drew..... that mean both European an UK cars are LHD...
Cant be right...

^^^^^^^^^ LHD steering wheel is on the left

cars like in france and spain etc
are left hand drive - steering wheel on left (when ya sat in it) and drive on right

ok - forgot which side of car i sat on but edited posts now

we (uk are RHD (steering wheel on right)

europe are LHD (steering wheel on left as ur sat in it)
