my girl friend has a 1.2 8v corsa that has done around 80,000 miles alot of the time it struggles to start and when you do get it started if you put the foot down to fast or pump the acc pedal a few times when running it cuts out! it is burning some oil which is making me think its the head gasket away and its not running right but still not any major signs for that! any one else had the same problem ? cheers ross

take the oil filler cap off is it creamy? open header tank bottle (slowly if engines bin running) and check for oil in the coolant ie more creamyness, does it smoke blue or white out the exhaust? any missfires or is it just slow as fook under load,

none of the oil in water or water in oil signs yet! but a head gasket can go 100 ways i.e fuel in water, fuel in oil oil getting burnt, water getting burnt etc. its slow as fook all the time! sand-eel (a member on here) has been in it alot of times and he can probs vote that its is never ment to be as slow as that haha

and yes the exhaust smoke is a bit blue which was leading me on to it being a head gasket
