as title says, its when im maintaining the same speed, the car just starts bouncing/kangerooing untill i either slow down or speed up.
any ideas??

really? it feels like its the engine? its not an up and down feel like u wud get from the shocks. its more of a forward/backward bounce.
whats wrong with the shocks?
just need replacing?

Definatly not your shocks. Possibly lambda sensor. Have you changed anythng recently

whats it like on corners?if you push down on the front on either corner,does it bounce or does it settle straight away

nah mate, not touched a thing, it just started doing it 1 day, and just getting annoying now lol. so u rekon changing lambda sensor yeh?
anything else it cud be?

does it missfire now and then or stay at a constant rev when you put your foot to the floor ??

my old polo used to do this and it turned out it was bulding presure in the sump :S so it could be a piston ring

mate fuck looking at piston rings just from the car kangerooing.
Fuel pump, relay and filter's where I'd be strating. Not bottom end.

my girlfriends car has been doin same thing, changed a few things, like sparkplugs, fuel pump, lamda, cts, coilpack, afm. just gunna be a bit of trial and error thing, maybe the same for u

Steve X16XE had the same issues, as do I.
Steve found he had a blocked breather pipe, so cleaned it and it the car has run perfectly since - I'm going to be doing mine tomorrow as I think mine may be blocked too.
That's on an X16XE btw.

Where does a breather pipe go from and to? As I have the same problem! Exceptionally bad at low revs in second!
Changed fuel filter yesterday, and that has helped a great amount, but its still there!

i've got a 1.4 sport n myne does the sme mate bein doin it for aggeees if i keep it a 2800 rpm it jst starts jumpin about fukin anoyin lol sum 1 told me it mite b the air flow meter not sure though. i've done abwt 16000 miles wif it doin it so dnt fink its nuffin 2 bad but i'm no mechanic

Mine use to do this when first bought it, the airbox was minging as was the panel filter.
Cleaner it all out and replaced the panel filter was fine.
Also changed fuel filter aswell

hmmm right so from the responses, seems like its gunna be somthing to do with air/breather filters, or fuel filter, then try replacing parts lambda, plugs, leads ect, then if not, just blow the fecker up
