As title really, who is running what springs?

I'm after some shorter springs, so they wont tickle my tyres, so going for a 6 or 7", but not sure on poundage?

Got the standard spax purples and some faulkner 250lb ones, thinking 300lb may be better?

What you running?

*EDIT*

Can somone do me a massive favour...

i have some RSX coilovers on my car, and i need to order some new springs, but i cant get to my car til friday & could do with the springs for then.

If you have 2mins & the suspension is close to hand, could you look just above the threads on the fronts & see if there is a product code there? It should start RSX then have two or three numbers after it?

Also, does your set have the black threads, or the stainless steel threads?

Would be a massive help if you could.

Thanks very much.

Not sure on coilovers, but im guessing the poundage weights the same as a fixed strut weight.

In which case yeah, 300lb springs is what you want. But sorry, can't confirm if its the same for coilovers. Might want to speak to Broster or someone for that

spax have a spring platform of 61mm..

so 2.25"(58mm) are too small, and 2.5" (65mm) are too big

either buy spring's from spax (they do a 313lbs, which is what i've got) or get the spring platform turned down on a lath to 58mm

and turned down

I just want to speak to someone different i think, i said corsa twice & he was rambling on about the astras

Just wanted to know if they did 6 or 7" ones, but he did say they could make them for me if they didnt, but said he needed my code first.

sure theres only two types, the early ones (mine) with black threads & the later ones with SS threads.

just take your spring platform to a machinest, and have them lath it, so it's 58mm

then no worries about spring choice

Dont have time for that, will see what coilsprings can do.

Ste, are yours the black threaded ones?

If so, could you look just above the thread & read the code, should start RSX, then two or three numbers?

If coilsprings cant, i should get the spax bloke to help me with that code, as i cant get to the car til friday & would like to have them for then.

cheers.
