hey guys, wats the best performance oil to use in a 1994 Corsa Gsi with 75k???
mine makes a tapping/knocking noise for a while upon start up, was told to use a (expensive) fully synthetic oil sumthing like a 0w-40!? but then i heard that its way to thin and will make the knocking whorse!
is 10w-40 oil the best for my car? as im currently using 10w-40 GTX magnatec.

10/40 is fine or maybe 15/40

Stick with the magnatec or use vauxhalls own 10w40 semi synthetic, whatever you can get hold of cheapest.

yea but how can i get rid of the knocking/tapping noise??? i thought it was oil related??

All vauxhalls do that, its the hydraulic lifters or sumfink as they build up oil pressure!
Dont think thinner oil improves it!
