Right,

I'm just starting an assignment where we have to save a company from going under (quite appropriate considering the current times).

Anyway, Part 1 of the assignment is to identify the key areas/departments of a typical manufacturing company which employs around 3000 staff. We've been asked to put it into a hierarchical diagram so show both operational posts and strategic.

Here's my operational one (which also shows the strategic at the top TBH) - http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/3500/staffmodeloperational.jpg

I'm a bit of a n00b and am still doing my research on it. But, for the business minded people on here...are there any glaring mistakes which I’ve made do you think?

All ideas welcome

Surely QC and HR wouldn't report directly to the chairman?
