anyone else think the latest series/s (however they are structured these days!) have gone down hill? I do big time but some of my friends still think it is as good as ever.

I'm liking it.
My mate is obsessed with Lost and he says Heroes is boring and doesn't go anywhere, not sure what he thinks hes watching with Lost as they're 4 series in and no closer to finding anything out! He says things are getting explained but so are the charactors in Heroes!

Just seems like nothing ever progresses and before you know it there goes another episode. The first series was immense it hooked you at the same time as something actually happening whilst the story developed, this just seems made up as it goes along.

Still very watchable looking forwards to the spin they put on it before the finale

They are crap, mate was telling me all the writers left before this series.
I've lost all interest in it, i'll probably watch them eventually though.
As to lost, that did and still does have a couple at a time that aren't amazing but you always know it'll pay off in the end, it's got excellent again.

I feel it will be a let down . I hope I am wrong though.
Not heard the writers thing but there was that point where the writer's strike happened where if there wouldn't have been a break, slyer was off to film star trek and would have had to been written out of it. Unsure on how true that is but it does sound viable.
I've never watched any lost, heard that was as though it was getting made up as it went along so never bothered with it.

The same writers came back after that strike, they apparently left before this last one though, fugitives or whatever it's called.

If you watch lost you see that they've known what they've been doing from the start, they regularly reference the past and the future and it's all intertwined.

i'm a bit disapointed with it too. some of the characters do my head in and there is no story development. at the end of every episode you are pretty much at the same place you started at.
