I would say close to £1000.

I got this one for £1050, 12 months mot, 9 months tax, 99 model, 72k, 2 pevious owners.



Some people will try it for £1500+
I think for 98-99 models no more then £1300 for a good one.

Warren's one would be £1300 for the mot and 6 months extra tax, plus his a vauxhall mechanic so I would expect it's pretty sound engine wise.

Are there anything i should be looking out for when buying one? Potential problems etc...? When does the cambelt need doing on the 1.4's?

40k for belt

Look out for rust
Rattling engines
Smoke
Also look out for badly modified cars

How much does a cam belt change cost? Is there anything else worth doing as soon as i get one? Ones im looking at are around 60-80k
