im thinkin of doin mine soon
can you do it to anyhead light or do they have to be Depos , can i use the ones that are standard on my car?
and when sprayin the inside do you use gloss or matt spray

Depos are usually used because they're much easier to split than the other make, valeo I think.
And I'm pretty sure you use matt paint.

i did this to a spare pair of headlights, i had tinting spray lyeing around got them all glued up but the light from them is rubbish, high beam is worse than my dipped before i did it
any sugestions.?

^ yeah, don't paint them black and expect them to be bright! It isn't rocket science, they are silver for a reason.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

depends which bit you tint you should only do the surround inside not the reflector behind the bulb. They shouldn be anything different to what normal lights put out the surround is only cosmetic

when you take the light apart theres two shiny bits. the surround and the reflector thats around the bulb. spray the surround black or whatever colour you want.

i did this once as one depo of mine broke and wot a twat it woz went throw 3 headlights good luck

getting standard headlights after reading on related threads it sounds as though they are much harder to do than depos is it worth it without clear outers instead of the standard ones?
