Just realised i've got another one of these, £20 fee and £28 overdraft fee

I notice the banks taking it to court failed for a second time and now they are trying to go to the house of lords

How many people have got pending cases with the banks? I have had a couple of these this year so now considering putting my letter to the banks.

I have nothing to lose tbh so if i don't get the money back, nothing is lost

Several thousand people!

Banks won't refund you anything unless it's an error - they will just refer you to said court case and tell you to wait for the complete decision, so in the mean time you have to cough up the fees I'm afraid.

I meant people on here sorry

I realise they won't refund you anything yet, i have no problem paying the fees, i got paid a day later than the item i bought went through. So just unlucky really.

But if there is an off chance in getting the money back, it's worth a shot

I hope the banks lose when they go to the House of Lords, could quite possibly make me rich if I can claim back all the charges I've ever had!

Never had a bank charge in my life.

Some people need to learn to manage their money like mike said £100 agreed over draft would sort most peoples needs.

Yes but John your statement is a bit 'sweeping' - there is a difference between an occasional oversight and regularly 'abusing' your account?

if you get a bank charge and its like a complete one off, call the bank say you have noticed the charge and want to know why. they explain, then say to them "why didnt you notify me?"

they will say they sent you a letter. tell them you went into branch 5-6 weeks ago and changed your address, then theyll refund it.

without a letter that you receive they cant charge.

Yeah, i phoned barclays on behalf of my sis in regards to her first bank charge.

The happily refunded it but warned that if it happened again they would not refund.
