i was out last night fishing on a lake and there are hundreds of bats out at night, how come you never see them dead on the floor or anything?

i have never in 23 years seen a bat up close or a dead one on the floor or in a field or anything, just wondered why this was lol

well i didnt actually say i was trying, i just said i have never seen one. i dont go out especially to look for particular dead animals. maybe where your from.

They don't die whilst out flying, they mostly die in the roost due to starvation or whatever.

The real reason is bats never die, they are secretly increasing in number while hiding in their bat caves, waiting for the day to come where the take over the world.

My mate shot one with a pellet gun, was just randomly shooting in the woods and it flew towards us after taking a hit, hopped a few times then fell down and rolled over and died. Felt rather arlarse!

Iv'e seen plenty. We used to have a little rain collector in the garden and bats where attracted to it at night, found plenty dead in the water as they couldn't get back out, and drowned.

I seen plenty on Planet Earth this evening. Cockroaches feed on their shit and carcasses if they die in the cave and pedigree falcons and bat hawks pick them off when they leave the cave.

once found a live bat coured behind our back door.

Dad picked it up and put it outside i think, fair hissed at him when he picked it up, he shat himself

was either that or the cat would have had it in no time
