Right last night when i was pissing about i was wheelspining then all drive stoped
What could the problem be i thaught the shafts might have broken but they seem solid enough
could it be the clutch
any help would be greatly appreacheated

mine did this a few years ago, the days of wheelspinning 
i had to get a new gearbox

id said a dead inner cv joint or its poped out the gearbox.

could be clutch diff shafts coul of gone on inners ... drop the gear oil and inspect it for metal filings
if theres none its probably not box of theres lots .. good luck

Wel iv got a gear box out of a C16XE but mines a X14XE would it fit

check the inner cvs! the bit of the spline past the circlip normally snaps as its the weekest part! you may be lucky and you can get it out or it could have fallen into the box

would put an f16 az u will not be runing top end so that mean no power

I think he's trying to say putting the C16XE on a 1.4 engine is pointless as the engine doesn't have the grunt to pull through the gears - so he's suggesting putting on a F16 instead.

I snapped the end right off one if the shafts
But it was ok i got the snapped bit out of the diff and i had a spare shaft so its back on road now
|
