Anbesol mate:
That might be an American pic, but that's what it's called. The stuff's good for the ulcers that make it sore to eat - dab a bit of this on the ulcer with your finger, it stings like fuck for about 5 secs, then it numbs it for about 30-45mins. I find it lets me eat in peace, saves me having to avoid chewing with a certain part of my mouth and such.
I've tried bonjela and found it to be good for long term making them go away - that stuff's good for getting rid of pain pronto though.

anbesol ftw!
You can speed up the recovery of them by taking folic acid and zinc.
Are you anaemic by any chance?

bonjela is a waste of time
corosdyl mouth wash is pretty good
i got some stuff once, small tube, was like gritty thick glue, put it on before bed and woke up with your mouth stuck together, was pretty good

Squeeze them and they pop, or at least mine do
I think it depends on the type though, as a load of different ones.

Cheers might pop up to the chemist and see what they have
No I'm not anaemic Jambo
And I do get reasonable sleep but uni end of year exams coming up in few weeks so that's the cause of the stress!

an ulcer is an open wound, how do you manage to pop one Cosmo?!
Find certain foods that can trigger them etc, do you brush too hard? Eat sharp/hard foods large mouthfulls?
Affect people in different ways, if i drink red bull, coke zero, too much chocolate etc that sets me off.
Good luck

I had a few about a week a ago, turned out to be the start of a stinking cold, which i still have now, the mrs got me some stoff called Oraldene, is basicly an antispetic mouthwash, no instant results, but reckon it helps the healing.

get some salt and wet your finger then put the salt on your finger. Press and hold that on the ulcer for about a minute, it will sting like fuck and you will dribble and stuff but it either gets rid of it or numbs it for about 2 hours.

Some have a thin layer of skin over, pop those kind and they heal up quick.
As said their are loads of different types, so the ones I get are probably just one kind.

I used Cordosyl but found it numbed my tongue too much after it had worn off the ulcer.
Got some stuff from the docs once, that was crap.
I found sucking sore throat lozenges helped, the ones that are antiseptic and anaesthetic, they kill the bacteria and numb them.
Also tried bonjella but decided it tasted too good and ended up licking it off
I loove the feeling though when you wake up one afternoon (or morning for those who don't work nights) and the ulcer you have had for a week has gone and you can eat HP sauce and crisps again
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.
