You can get converters (digital coaxial to optical etc) if a DAC doesn't have an optical in, so don't worry about that when looking at a DAC.

But keep an eye on some of those, the AMC and Zero should go fairly cheap but see if you can pick up a bargin and stay this side of £100 quid (would put you in your £200 limit as well).
However i have to admit, it starts getting a little serious when you're using external DACs

Cheers, i might invest at a later date. Like you said, getting a bit serious and way out out of my limited audio knowledge, plus i've got an issue with all the wires now without adding more. Would be nice to have speakers working for normal tv though.

Ash i've been through the set-up loads of times hoping i've missed something but pretty sure I haven't, they are quite basic screens.

There up; just need to pin the speaker wire to the side of the door frame or get some more tubing.
