How do i get it so that the box above the pictures is removed? also how do i get it so all the pictures are displayed?!

Try clicking Tools and Folder Options, select the View tab and see if the first option in the list is checked ("Always show icons, never thumbnails").
Then scroll down to near the bottom and see if "Use check boxes to select items" is ticked.
If either or both are, untick them and click OK
