Whats the cheapest, easiest way to do this? 
i'm wanting to do a bit of euro driving in August, and anyone who's been before advice would be top!

Drive to the ferry port, make sure you got warning triangle, hi vis jacket, spare bulb kit, first aid kit & GB sticker.
And away you go.
It's so easy.

yeah my boss told me about all the stuff you need for euro driving, and of course insurance, i'm all covered etc!
Sounds pretty easy, i'm going to look up prices, will i save money if i book in big advance?

take the chunnel (euro tunnel). Its much better, quicker, cleaner, easier.
Ferrys are just floating bingo halls.
We drove from Aberdeen to Folkstone (tunnel terminal), then Calias to Tolouse in the south of France.
Long drive, but not that bad. 2400 miles or so  (return)
We didnt bother wasting money on the hi-vis and bulb kit etc.
Oh, and avoid the by pass in Paris interior peripheriq or whatever its called
