I want to clock my speedo as my engine/car has only done 34772 miles, as said on old clock....but just got a new dash with rev. counter and it states 65700 something. I wanna cahnge the new clocks so they reflect the real mileage on the car....not almost double what it has done!
U2U me or mail me at james@pixelhosts.com if u can help!
Cheers all.

I am sure when you actually have the dash out you can run the clock backwards, dunno though to be honest.
I would also like to know this as I am thinking of getting a rev counter dash for my car and I doubt I would get one with the same millage as mine.

you undo the retaining pin, pull it out with pliers, flip the numbers accordingly then replace the pin. very easy.

Easiest option might be to swap the actual counter over from one dash to the other if your worried about turning the numbers around.

it is electrical i think.... it has a motor to turn the numbers. There is no retaining clip on the rev counter one...it is transparent plastic with just a hole on each side for the spindles that change the mileage.

What year is your car? year of the car you got the dials from?
Did you have to connect it via a big cable behind the dash...
if so, then you cannot clock these dialsets as they are mechanical.

Makes no difference if they are mechanical or electrical. The mileage can be altered on both.

all you need to do is disconnect the sender unit from the gear box and put the drill on2 the speedo cable.WARNING dont use the drill to fast because your dials will expload!
