Looking to get a corsa however whats the most reliable engine you can get? Iv just come from owning a astra g 2.0i sri and its been a complete dog! From what iv learnt the 2.0 and 2.2 are awful engines in the astra and seem to have a habbit of going bang.
Is there a particular engine i need to stay away from which is reknown for going wrong/ failure. Looking at the corsa 1.8 SRI, is the 1.8 in these any good?

The 1.8 is good, will feel quite quick compared to a 2.0 astra G
get some light 15's like TD pro race 1.2's and some tunning stuff like manifold, cam's and cat back and you will see good power !

I had a 1.4 16v which was quick enough for everyday driving and never let me down once in 18 months ownership.
