I rang up ages ago to claim tax back, they took my p60 a few weeks ago and I filled in a form and sent it off. Still not had anything back, just wondering is this usually a lengthy process?

Its not money back, you just shouldnt be getting taxed in the first place assuming youre a student? I got taxed all last year they have only just changed my tax code. They owe me over 900 quid and I really need it!

I'm assuming you sent it 2 weeks ago or there abouts?
You'll be lucky to get it back in the next couple of months.
One of my clients has been waiting just over 2 months for a refund.

what he said I rang 3 weeks ago and they were currently 3 weeks behind on the post so then they have all the rest of the crap to sort out before its sorted. will take a while unfortunatly.

If it is you owing them money it is a completely different story, as they are so organised.
If you are expecting/hoping to get it back in the next couple of weeks you'll be very lucky i'm afraid.
How come you never asked to get put on the correct tax code or did you intentionally leave it so you get a big rebate at the end of the year?
