I have some 15 inch alloys, which I need tyres for. I plan to lower the car 40mm, so was wandering what tyres would be ideal for this. i don't want them to scrub the arches or anything.

Thanks in advance.

Its the wheels that determine scrubbage tyres some times make a difference. Whats your budget?

Um not true, i was down 100mm on mine and had to take the spring out fully as i spun out 3 times due to rear lockage
Im now down 60-70mm and dont have any problems what so ever, you could stretch the spring.

You do have to adjust the brake bias regulator thing, you will have to at 40mm anyway I should think.

195/45/15's on those wheels though chap

60mm with decent shocks and adjust the adjuster on the rear beam should be fine. Go to a car park and do some emergency stops to test them. Do it in the wet aswell. I had some fun doing that

i was 60mm front 40mm back...nice setup but allways wished to get 60mm on back lol...but keep an eye on the brake regulator while lowering....sum adjustment never hurt anyone...the front end will rub on arch when hitting bumps on cornering...and the exhaust will rest/bump on the rear beam...even at 40mm...just pad the rear beam to save the exhaust denting and misshaping and fucked the front arches. End of the day its a corsa mate...not to be slack but they aint worth much this days. On the plus side the car will handle 600 million times better
