some little tw*ts tied to steal mates corsa, they cut almost every wire attemting to hot wire it threw the chip receiver on the grass and smashed the ignition barrell,
managed to salvage the chip receiver and resolder the wires, but if i get a new barrell with new keys what can i do about the chipped keys? can i just swap the key internals??
help very much appriciated...

Pop open your old key and swap over the chip. Just be careful not to damage it.

if i was to get a new chip receiver unit will it need coding into my ecu does anybody know? or is it literally plug & go?
