been offered an lsd for a good price but for some reason in my head i want an atb would i really notice much difference between the two

i know that dave but they behave differently the lsd limits slip and the atb puts power to the wheel with the most grip just wondering if i would notice the difference on the road or am i just being a fussy git

You are getting the wrong end of the stick An ATB is a TYPE of LSD..

thats what i have already in my head mark cheers but for 350 quid would i be any worse off getting the lsd

It depends what percentage of lock it has.
Having just driven a 90% tarmac spec xtrac diff in a rally Astra the grip was awesome but I was fighting it all the time and it is definately not user friendly for every day use. A 40% may be ok for road use.
With the ATB you hardly notice it is there but it offers a lot more grip than standard and you can drive the car as normal. Great for using every day and you never have to rebuild it.

think im just going to leave it for now and get an atb at a later date. need the money to get the car up and running il worry about grip when i have actually driven the thing

atb is a good diff for a road car it works well enough and isnt all that savage either really.
