i noticed my coolant was not flowing since knowing this i have noticed engine getting hot as a result
i get no hot air throught the fans
research i have done leave me with three main areas that could be the fault
stuck thermostat (pig of a job)
water pump
blocked radiator (dont think it is this as i can squeeze the rad pipe s there seems to be not water in them )
whitch would you tackle first

what engine is it first.
water pump i would say it the main cause of no coolant flow. a rad would only be blocked if some plonker has not looked after the car and its got ether built up sludge or rust.
best say to check if the therostat has gone is easy,
get the car up to temperature and when its almost in the red get your hands on the top and bottom coolant pipes the should both be bloody hot, if they arnt then your thermostt could be duffed, you could also have a air lock (if you've had any wor done to the car envolving the removal of a y of the cooling system this could be the fault..
if the head gasket has gone you will notice a nice thick sludge in the coolant tank and the water will smell fuelish, also the coolant would ahve gone down and it would ahve over pressurised and coolant would ahve been pissing out the collant bottle by now

My money is on Water Pump. Happened to my XE when the Plastic impellor snapped.

its a 1.2 8v n it aint head gasket as it doesnt looks coolant or oil

Have you checked the coolant levels? Did you have to top it up loads? did you bleed it during the fill?
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

rough price for a water pump to be fitted?
as tbh i dont trust my self with fucking about with timing belt

just got the car n realised it wernt circualting and it was abit low so put bit more in stuck heaters on ect hoping it would shift but didnt

Putting the heaters on won't help to bleed it mate.
Find the bleed nipples for your engine and see if you get air out first. Then come back to us if that doesn't work.

Does if you remove the coolant bottle cap, as some cars dont have bleed nipples. And you need to put heaters onto hot, ka's were a git for getting air locks if you didn't do this. Every car is different tho.

It isn't a ka and the heater has nothing to do with bleeding the coolant on a Vaux.
As I said, loosen the bleed screws with the engine running and hot so the thermostat will be open.

dont think the 1.2 8v has a bleed screw may be wrong though.id say waterpump as iirc the waterpump is the tensioner on some of them and have a habbit of failing.

thats how i did my sax  and it had bleed screws
but the air was in the heater matrix as you could hear the water splashing in there!

if you mean you could hear the sound of water running,thats usually a sign of head gasket failure.

that cars been scrapped now but the water was splashing around behind the dash loads air came out and it6 stopped
