Thanks pal, that looks very useful!

I did a bit of training for the swerve and stop last week but I was still unsure as to the order and layout of things so that is a useful post. I'm quite nervous but should do it easily as I was fine in training. Just hope the nerves don't get to me!

Just got back from doing my Mod 1. Mine was set out exactly like yours! And the write-up proved very useful. I think there was a much bigger run up to the timing gate at the test centre I went to because I reached ~35mph long before it. I had to back off quite a bit and that was on a 125! I managed 56kmph in the swerve and 61kmph in the emergency stop. Got one minor for poor observation on the slow ride part, forgot to check BOTH shoulders!

Going to book module 2 now! Have you done module 2 yet mate?

EDIT: Btw Ojc, I'm sorry for the slight derailing of your thread. I didn't think it was worth making another thread for!

Have you decided on the type of scooter you're going for?

Honda XL Varadero is what you want. Get them 1000cc and 125cc. I know someone who has one for work, his insurance is something like £125/year, and he looked at 125cc motox style bikes and was quote £300/year.

Don't look too bad either.

Pics here.

Glad it helped you out

Yes, did my Module 2 on the 4th of June, and passed it 2 minors, Balance and Hesitation, but other than that its very straight forward!

Just remember what your taught on your lessons. Its basically the same sort of thing, "take the next right.... first exit on the roundabout... left at the traffic lights..." etc etc etc... There are no manouvers on the test at all, so no emergency stops, U-turns... Just normal road riding

You will do some town driving, 30mph, 40mph, speed bumps, roundabouts, national limits, and possibly a single-track country road. Just remember to keep your head clear and do what your told and you won't go far wrong!

All the best with it though

On another note, hopefully picking up a Bandit 1200 in the next few days As I've sold my car and my 125 Honda, so have enough funds now

I see quite a few blokes that look like they're in their 30s or 40s riding em round here, never really thought anything of it, it's when I see the 16 year olds doing wheelies and all the rest of it that I think COCK

I'd do it if I lived close, definetly!.

I think 100 miles a day is a bit much on a moped though

You'd look less gay in leather chaps on a 80's racer with them shit things from cereals boxes (of old) on your spokes.

I swear it's missing Tetsuya Harada stickers and the IP oils sticker from the lower rears.
