ahhhhhhh my corsa is starting to really bring me down!
i had idle problems icv, tps faults.
so have fitted mantzel style box and a used but functioning throttle body.
its now lumpy as hell and still doesnt have much grunt!
eml came on today and stayed on. code 0400.
it is "exhaust gas circulation valve" fault.
what does that mean???
i know what egr is. i have removed the valve but left it plugged in.
what is "exhaust gas circulation"? as opposed to "exhaust gas re-circulation"
any help much appreciated before i go and dump this car in a ditch ive had enough of vauxhalls!

Egr valve. remove it clean it up make sure its free etc. clear codes if it comes back on replace it.

you say you have removed the egr and left it connected ,did you blank the egr hole off, if not do so, also check for air leaks on powerbox and check all pipes are in the correct place. as stated clean or replace egr ,but if you have fitted the powerbox correct then the car will still run ok even if the egr comes on.
