I've got an electric RC car and like the other two, used it for about 45 minutes and its sat in the box ever since.

Probably the biggest waste of money ever.

Try Fusion Hobbies or Modelsport UK Neo.

If you want an easy life and don't want to be adjusting mixture and restarting the car too often and are prepared to spend a few quid, go for either an FG Marder or an HPI Baja.

They are both available ready to run or as a kit/part build and are both 6th scale petrol buggies that use a 23/26cc petrol engine.

They take about a tank of two stroke mix to run in and then you just change the spark plug and drive them effortlessly from there on in.

You'll get about 40 to 50 mins from a tank and obviously the fuel is considerable cheaper than Nitro mix.

They are very robust too and there is a world of upgrades for you to waste your money on.

I've broken a hub and driveshaft on mine, and I can't seem to find a spare on the website. I'll give them a call because now it's sunny it'd be cool to take them out again

I remember what was going wrong on mine now. It's got a massive spoiler on the back which I think actually gave it downforce on the back wheels when it got up to speed because it understeered like mad!

I was thinking of giving it a trim to start with. We should try and get into Bovingdon airfield for a top speed run of mine. It's meant to do about 60mph

Buy an electric buggy! Won't annoy anyone else on the beach then!
