Fitted the c.o's to the corsa, but when i dropped it down i had issues
Built them up like so -
Im pretty sure i got that bit right, ?
My spring clamps wouldnt fit in so i would the bottom bits right down and then managed to screw the top nut down a few threads - enough to hold IMO.
But when i dropped it down, the cup bits popped out
Why is that ? What am i doing wrong?
*************
Second issue - strut brace. Its an OMP one for an X16XE, but i cant get it to fit properly.
This plug gets in the way
What is it? Can i do anything about it?
I thought about unscrewing the plate that holds the plug in place and lowering it down into the empty space below it...
Any ideas?
Thanks
Marc x

Look at that. I think you are missing a Corsa Part that goes between the bearing on the top of the spring and a top mount.

Just to add, it might be worth removing the helper springs while its alll apart, they dont do much and could give you the slight clearance you need to fit some wheels.

Yeah there's an extra plate thing with a bearing that goes in the top mount, if you don't have them then I think I may have two spares.
You won't need the rubber bit as that just holds the spring. Seeing as they're a smaller diameter, they won't fit in it.
I'll try and remember to see what parts I have tonight and let you know, I have a couple of main parts of top mounts and I think one of the things I have is what you need.

My old strut brace going onto another car?
I had the same problem with the MAP sensor and just let it dangle down and never had troubles.

Thought the other night - do you have this part? It's pretty crucial.

Yeah, Dave, ive got them bits out. They were in the rubber bit pictured above - so ive got hem out, just need to fit them - they go between the spring and the top mount bit, right?
Is there anything else i need?

Yeah mate it sits on top of the black metal bit that normally has a piece of rubber on the outside.
I knew this pic would come in handy one day
You put the part at the top on first, then the one at the bottom, then the one on the right and then the one on the left. It looks like you've only put the last two bits on

Im confused to fuck now.
Ive taken it out and to bits again, got the bits that have been shown above.
But now im not sure how its meant to go
According to what i know, its meant to go like this
Obviously the spring would come up to meet the bottom spax collet thing.
they were placed on in this order
Ive taken the helper spring out for a bit to give me more room to play with.
Thansk for any help

That looks right to me mate, once the spring is pushing against it then it should hold it tight.
