Well since i decided to join the R.A.F i have been revising for my maths, mechanics etc and i know that these are the sort of questions that i need to work out but i just cant work them out and im sure some guys and girls on here will find it quite easy to do. So if you can please explain that would be great
3(t + 35) = 35 ( there should be a line underneath the brackets )
6
(and the 6 and 5 should be underneath)
A. B. C. D. E..
35 70 75 77 30
9(t x 16) = 144
5
A. B. C. D. E.
6 3 9 15 5
it might seem simple to some people but i just cant get it at all it looks a mess there though, i hope you get what i mean.
thanks rob

(3(t+35))/6 = 35
3(t+35) = 35 x 6
3(t+35) = 210
t+35 = 210 / 3
t+35 = 70
t = 70 - 35
t = 35

(9(t x 16))/5 = 144
9(t x 16) = 144 x 5
9(t x 16) = 720
t x 16 = 720 / 9
t x 16 = 80
t = 80 / 16
t = 5

First one:
Multiply both sides by 6 so you get 3(t + 35) = 210
Expand the brackets so you get 3t + 105 = 210
Take 105 off both sides so 3t = 105
So t = 35
