A bloke in work done it, got bored, left a dead hamster in the box

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Geocaching is (as said earlier) essentially hide and seek for adults.

Similar principals to orienteering as in you are directed to positions to find a specific location or more accurately a specific item in a specific location. The items are hidden all over the world, 10,000's of places. Its suprising how many are local to you when you look on a map. I think theres 15 within 5/6 miles of me. You're given a GPS co-ordinate with which to find the locations.

Normally hidden in each location is a sealed box/tub/tupperware box etc. Inside is a book to sign and tokens or small toys etc. When you find a box you can (if you wish) take the token/toy and move it to the next box you go to; some of the toys have travelled thousands of miles around the world.

We did it for a little while more as an excuse to go out for a walk more than anything.
