Would work imo but it would cost a fortune bearing in mind United are interested as well. If he is willing to pay whatever it costs I would think that Bayern would prefer to sell him to Liverpool than United as we have upset them a few times over various things.

dont see the need IMO, Sissoko is playing that role between the def and mid so unless he is going to drop him (once fit) which I cant see happening, he isnt going to get into the team.

That is unless Alonso is going to spain, as both Barca and Real have been linked with him since the summer.

Wallaby!

He is kind of wasted when playing with Gerrard as does more defending than he should He is best with Sissoko as is free to control the game and spread the ball out from the centre.

Yes. He needs to play a more positive advanced roll. Maybe like Fabregas for example.

I personally wouldn't let Alonso go and replace him with Hargreaves. Alonso's distribution is better than Hargreaves which is what you need in the middle of the park. Hargreaves would probably offer a bit more resistance when Liverpool don't have the ball but that's what Sissoko's for.
