Hey y'all. Got myself an Ashley backbox fitted on my '98 1.4 Sport and have a question.
They had to twist it around so the middle didn't bang on the axle, so the left hand side mount doesn't go in to the rubber hanger. Fitted a jubilee clip to it, hold it in place, but it's against the bumper.
So my question is this. Any way to keep it secure without the rubber hanger, but not having the threat of my bumper melting away? I was going to get a cutout but selling in March and can't be bothered. Also, I'm a bit worried the right hand side mount will snap after a few months if the jubilee clip is too tight.

If it's against the bumper, it will at the very least make it go black in places, if not melt it away.
