Whats everyone recommend for different things? I have the following which I think are all great some are for jailbroken only though.
Jail broken / cydia only
- Yourtube - This intergrates into existing youtube app and gives you a button to download vids and store them on the phone.
- Safari Downloader - Same as above but intergrates into Safari so you can download and store many files
- Safari tab closer - Hold the tab button in safari and gives an option to close all tabs or close all tabs and quit (this stops safari running in the background and using ram)
- Cycorder &ppvideo - Cycorder allows you to record video on the 2g and 3g, the only thing I found is its a pain in the arse to get the vids off as have to ssh on, however if you install ppvideo the video's show up when you connect iphone to the PC just like the pics from the camera.
- Cyntact - Adds thumbnails of contacts to the standard contacts app
- iBluetooh - adds bluetooth support for sending and receiving files
- iFile - decent file manager and can run as a web server to access the file system via http
- Winterboard - good for different themes
- SBSettings - swip across the status bar to give you toggles for wifi, 3g, bluetooth etc etc
- PkgBackup - backup all the cydia apps so you dont have to manually reinstall after a restore (even brings them back after a "restore as new phone")
- Reflective dock - need I say more
From app store
- Logmein - Logmein client for the iphone, take control of any PC setup on your logmein account
- IM+ - Decent push comatible messenger, supports many different providers such as MSN, Yahoo, Facebook etc.
- Facebook - again need I say more
- 10 pin shuffle - good bowling game
- Dynolicious - give estimated bhp, 1/4 mile runs etc.
- Pano - panoramic pictures
- Real racing - good racing game, turn phone to steer
- Labyrinth 3d - addictive labyrinth game
- Shazam - sure you know what this is
- Navigon - decent turn by turn navigation with cool things such as lane assist.
- Midomi - similar to shazam but can hum the tune yourself and it will try and find the match

ToneFx... best app ever (if you donate)
can change the message tones.
Bossprefs - can toggle wifi,bluetooth,etc on + off... or respring/reeboot at touch of button.
fieldrunners - very addictive game.
