im looking at the Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED lense
Has anyone used one of these? opinions? any examples?

Theres only one 'e' in LENS.
Not used that particular one, but did have the Canon 55-250 F4-5.6 and for what I used it for, thought it was a bit slow.
ie for motorsport at 250mm you'd have to have a fairly low shutter speed to get the right exposure. For the money though it was a good lens.

If you can push the boat out I'd go for the VR version, is a cracking lens for the money.

i have my eye on the same one but the VR version. not managed to have a go of one yet but heard good things. if i get one soon i'll let you know how it is.
