Project Fail....
Never really bothered mentioning this car on here, it was one I had in January / February and then sort of gave up and sold it....
Found some pics of it on the memory card, so thought i'd upload, something for you to read anyway...
Well phoned a guy up from stratford and half an hour later I went to pick up a Corsa.
2 Hours later, the car decided to throw a rod through the block! Making a lovely hole 
Sprayed my mates mr2 with various bits of rod and general metal. After paying some chav £20 to tow me home, I left the lights on for a few mins and the car battery decided to die.
So windows down, and alarm not working, it's sat outside on the drive in the pissing rain overnight.
After it sat on the drive a few days, I thought it'd be best if I started to look for another engine....
Anyway... In comes a Gsi with a redtop in it
And out the engine comes
Also off with the boot due to gash smooth boot on the white one;
Out comes the holey engine
TA DA!!!!!! lol
Impressive...

Time to change the cams over....
But decided whole head in the end, due to so much hassle from dizzy to dispack etc! Ended up taking lifters out, giving them a good clean and then putting cam caps and cams back on.
On with the newer mount... brap
And up with the new engine... brap brap
After soring all the shit out
3am finish...
12 hours later.... DEAD
Old engine
Cause of engine dying... Woodruf key (sp) came loose, fucking the timing up and bending 16valves
Head off...
Valves removed, which took fucking ages due to how bent they were!
Engine in the boot whilst -100mm down.... Lolz
With a touch more money spent.... Working again... then disaster AGAIN

Once that was sorted, the car worked for a bit....
Everything just kept going wrong.... rad decided to burst, wheels fall off, more electrical problems, idle control valve, Mass air flow, spark plugs, leads... EVERYthing went wrong, the car was cursed!!

Bought the car for £1650, sold it for £850 when it was running OK, after all the time and effort spent....
Just one of those car's I guess.
