Your best bet is trying a dentist with an emergency number, every practise has to have one, so there is bound to be a dentist in that building that is on call.

Phoned NHS 24 and they said they'll phone me back in the next 3 hours.

They won't mate, i rang them when my wisdom tooth was coming through and my mouth was all swollen... i rang them and they said they would ring back and i'm still waiting 18months on! ha ur best off swilling ur mouth with some salty water and loads of paracetamol.

They rang me back within an hour when I had severe toothache 3 weeks back, an hour later I was at an emergency dentist in the city centre.

I had a really bad abscess recently and nhs24 only paid the slightest bit attention when i started vomitting every half hour. Musta spewed about 30 times before a doctor did a house call n gave me a jag in my toosh to stop the sickess and one of tramadol that pretty much knocked me out. Beautiful stuff.

I haven't taken any pain killers in a while, but the pain has gone away. Odd. I think the swelling has gone down a bit too.

Those salty warm water mouthwashes must have done something.
