few questions about the air con on 1.6 sport
first off is air con standard on the 1.6 sport?
how much power will be gain if removed?? will it be noticeable?
and last but not least which can you just put a non air-con timming belt on once removed?

its an optional extra
it will only take power when the air con is switched on and it usually switches off at WOT
no need the touch the timing belt but you will need a shorter alt belt and maybe a different tensioner.
im taking it off my 1.4 sport tomorrow as the compressor's noisey so ill let you know how it goes

that would be great cheers. well mine not working at the moment when i turn the aircon on i crnt really notice the car decrese in power but it doesnt seem to be running right anyway so was thinking the aircon mite be sucking up abit of power.

if theres no gas or any other problem then the clutch in the compressor wont activate anyway so doubt it will effect how the engine runs.
