Got a 50" plasma, all's good with it, but one problem;

Instead of using the freeview tv it comes with i've got a recording box (Freeview+).

The only thing is, every 2 or 3 minutes of watching the tv, the screen goes dim (assuming to avoid plasma burn).

How do you turn auto-dimming off?? I can't find out how to anywhere

Sky is getting installed this week.... but untill then, I dont think I can live with it, so annoying!

Apparently the only way to change it is to go into the service menu and do it there, although according to Google that will void the warranty. Samsung are working on a firmware update that will solve this issue though.

Someone on a forum I found did suggest making your own user settings and that will prevent it from happening.

Is it not the energy-saving?

Menu, TV, Setup, Energy-saving, put it on auto possibly?

Turn it on standby. Press Info, Menu & then Mute & then Power , brings up the service menu, you can add / take away the hdmi channels there.
