Anyone know what species of spider we have in this country lays its eggs in bags it makes of web and hangs them from the ceiling? Like at the top of this photo...



You can faintly see some of the spiders on the walls.

The photo was taken at fan bay deep shelter in dover, its a series of tunnels used for ammunition storage for st margarets battery during the second world war. I believe this is the only access point now not covered up, its disgusting really. This is where I was when rob was fannying about at napoleon rubbish.

I'm thinking of it as on the bottom of a couch or something in that pic though. I'm thinking it looks about 3 or 4 inches long.
