Hi all, got a 1.2 8v corsa (dizzy cap engine), when I go to start the engine it just keeps churning and wont start.
I've replaced the amplifier, coil pack and rotor arm and still no luck.
There's a spark when the ignition is turned on but when you go to crank the engine there is no spark or anything.
Any ideas? Thanks
edit; there's fuel in the car and no engine light on the dash

Can you hear the fuel pump going when you turn the key to Ignition on?

And - is the engine management light on during cranking?

You can hear the pump, and i'll check the engine management light tonight (~6pm) as the car isn't outside my house at the minute.

The engine management light doesn't come on during cranking.
EDIT: Engine code is C12NZ, need to phone up motor factors tomorrow and find out if there is a crank sensor for this engine. A mate of mine reckons it could be that, are you thinking the same thing?

No - the engine management light shouldn't go out during the engine turning over......
Can you bump start it? If you can then I'd say that it is the ignition barrel connectors naffed not giving a live whilst cranking to the ECU

I'll double check if the EML comes on or goes off during cranking when we have another look at it today. Batterys flat now though so gotta wait for that to charge.
The car won't bump start either.
