I have a phone up for sale on eBay, some foreign idiot buys it and tells me to send him my paypal as he can't deal within eBay due to his account being messed up. I go to send him an invoice and eBay has blocked his account. About 10 minutes later after me re-listing the phone he buys it again under a different username, I told him to politely fuck off and that the phone won't be getting sent. I just logged in to my e-mail and have 3 or 4 e-mails, got to laugh

i nearly got scammed on ebay last week buying a camera. Evan rang ebay to check if it was dodgy (got a 2nd chance off within half an hour of the auction ending). They said its fine to proceed and i'll be protected. Go to pay later same day and he's 'no longer a registered user'. Ebay email 2 days later saying do not proceed.

To sum up - Ebay are wankers

Those scams would be more convincing if they got their spelling and grammar sorted (the scammer is probably a CS member TBH).

I hate selling phones \ laptops etc on eBay as it draws scammers like flys to shit.

They often use hacked accounts and paypal accounts now then badger you to send the phone to an alternative address.

Once it's sent, the real account holder realises and PayPal force a refund.

You lose the money and the phone because you didn't sent it to the confirmed paypal address.

/\ Happened to my cousin.

Fucking hell it's GEORGE again!!!

EVEN if they managed (by a miracle) to get the language that they use in all of their communications, to scan anything less than hilarious, they must surely know by now that no one in the world is gonna trust em in a million years.

no not at all, to me just scanning over them they looks legit; somebody who wasn't all up to speed on this stuff would look at them, not read them properly and think it is all good.
