Got a Mk4 gsi wheel sitting here doing nothing, and been offered a corsa vxr one cheap too.
Wondering if anyone has tried fitting a new style steering wheel to a corsa b.
I fancy the Vxr one, will try and get steering wheel radio controls to work too.

i dont think the vxr radio controls would work with an older vaux headunit. as all the electronics in the new cars are on a network called canbus, whereas the old corsa wont be

I'm probably wrong but I'm sure I remember someone telling me about a guy fitting a Corsa VXR steering wheel to another car and getting the gadgets working.

The wheel controls aren't on can-bus
and if they are they could easily be wired.

they are on the veccy after about 2006. although thinking about it you can get autoleads adaptors to interface aftermarket to canbus wheels lol so could just use one of them

would look pretty the vxr wheel in a b. If you did it, is there anyway you could have the airbag working or is it a complete farce?

Not sure,
I'll get hold of a wheel and get a look at the way it's worked.

wouldn't mind one in my c, might look rather smart... only problem is then i'll want the 1.6 turbo conversion to go with it!

They are, you can get an adaptor though.
