ECU u tit! Disconnect the negative, ahem, sorry positive side of the battery and leave it overnight. then reconnect in the morning, car should splutter and almost stall, then drive it as u normally do.

just want to know what it does. and how to do it. coz assumin that the ecu chip is performing the best it can for how the engine is set up.. if you change it wont it effect the ecu?

errr...don't quite get ya there 
if you do any engine mods; induction kit, new exhaust system, etc. Do the method explained to reset the ECU so it performs best.

thats what i meant. so say i dilled the airbox. i should then reset the ecu for it to perform the best it can.

don't think drilled airbox affects it that much tho IMO.

Drilled air box wont make that much difference but its still worth doing.
Read the tutorial I wrote in the tutorial section and then you will understand.

in response to your question - park the car up for the night, and pull off the negative terminal leads. be careful not to short circuit the terminals.
in the morning, pop the leads back on, start the car and leave it to idle for ~30 seconds then drive
