i have a 1.5td corsa and wondered how far the engine will rev. i dont take it above 3000rpm dont reli need to as boost kicks in well at 2500rpm and easily gets goin upto 80-90 at just over 3000rpm. i just dont want the engine to go bang just yet

if you drive your car wam, it doesnt take any damage at all pushing it to the rev limiter for just a short period.. well except the car is brand new and haven't done x amount of miles yet

thrash it m8 they are quite good engines. but thats just what i would do

no point reving it past your power though, just rev it as far as the power is, as said thee very good engines

cheers for the feedback guys ! i never rev it when cold so thats ok it has done 154000 miles tho just had timing belt and iv gave it 3 services within 4000 mile as i brought it 2nd hand.
i just taken it out and gave it a good blast just over 3000 and it still has power to give i think. but no point going over the peak power output really !
