I would always go in... sometimes they'd tell me to go home and I wouldn't lol. I think for me though going home is like giving in to illness, if I'm active at work my mind's taken off it!

Think the last day I had off was in 2006 sometime and I drove 15 miles to work, walked in the door. Coughed... they shouted GO HOME! And I did, 'cause boy I felt like shit, and in that job I had to deal with the public all day!

Quite rare tbh, but when it comes to the summer I have really bad hayfever, my eyes sting, start to water, clsoe up, so I can't drive and i need to drive to get to work so they say it's ok. My company is really good when it comes to stuff like this.

Was kinda off in the summer as I slipped a disk and couldnt drive so did my work at home.

Other than that....probably 2006 was the last time for a cough or cold thing, ussually just go in.

Going in isn't always the best thing to do, I work in quite a small office and one person being contagious can spread it around !

Ditto.. When you work for a small company you got to be proper ill to take a day off other wise you feel guilty for shitting on other people.

I'm not even going to comment about my sickness, but at least I have a genuine reason to be off from work.

only time i've had off work is for glandular fever in my old part time job and orchitis in ford.

orchitis was not nice, hurt like fuck just sat on forza 2 for 2 weeks and then had 2 weeks off at xmas to recover.

i've felt like shit since last week though. terrible itchy cough, runny nose and head hurts but i've still been going in because i'm not a pussy.
