Used to be 3 or 4 times a week, Decent few backroads between windsor and bray I used to do to vent.
Nowadays i don't see the appeal, there is the good one or two roads where I live now, where in the slight chance that a coffin dodger isn't wedged in front of me i'll give the car a good push, but otherwise i tend to find myself doing 30 or 40 in a 60 wishing the cars would fuck off

Same here mate, I feel sorry for all these people saying the roads are shite. About 3 or 4 miles up the road from where I live (about 5 miles outside Glasgow City Centre) you hit Ayrshire and the roads are either huuuugely long and quiet or nice and tight and twisty with no one on them. I waste too much petrol putting my foot down.

Rather than random drives, I'll take detours off routes I'm travelling anyway or come home a diffeent way; like horseshoe pass in North Wales rather than the straight forward route.

Last time I had a scary moment, purely from pushing the car too hard was about a month after I got the Corsa. Came round a 45 degree corner that leans in to the right a bit too fiestily and spun the car 90 degrees and travelled like that for a couple of seconds pumping the brake like fuck. Got away with scraping the front bumper on a fence and almost going down a wee 3 foot drop into a field. Bit of a brown pants moment, but I definetely learnt from it!

i was coming up to a roundabout and couldn't see anything coming from the right so just pulled out and suddenly saw a volvo estate coming towards me.
took evasive action and quickly turned and went down a slip road completely the opposite to the way i should've gone.
was so scary at the time, bracing for the impact.

Not so much recently as I used to when I first got the car, was spending £40 a week on fuel and doing less than 200miles! I try to have one good drive a week to clear the system out though

Yea i did then too.
But going out last night just cheered me up, and suprisingly re-boosted my enthusiasm on sorting my corsa out properly, as so much has been goin wrong with it recently that i was starting to give up.
