considering the cost of the corsa
the cost of the cage
the fitting cost of the cage
the NEW roof
the paint job (inside and roof)

The price may be realistic.

But if he's willing to cut it up and scrap it, AND RENT a tool to do so, why not stick £500 on it and sell it tomorrow?
